Belonging is the theme of these 16 family pictures from my grandmother Rebecca and aunt Edith.
They describe a sense of unity, inclusion and shared values.
Rebecca Smith was born in 1891 into a family which eventually had nine children. She married Edward Jefferies who also had eight siblings. Rebecca would give birth to eight children.
The dates span from before the first airplane flight in 1903 to the first landing on the moon in 1969.
