Week Ten
People
A group of individualshaving a common objective.
Many people are responsible for my recovery beginning with the paramedics. The doctor and nurses who provided care in the emergency room, ICU, Neurology, and rehabilitation departments.
Therapists who improved physical, speech and daily abilities. Social workers who saw to my aftercare. Cooks and housekeepers allowing me to relax. My sister, mother and brother who gave me strength.
Loneliness
A person seperated from social interaction because of low self esteem.
Lonliness started in the afternoons when I returned to my room. The day had ended with the therapists, the people who knew my abilities best.
Loneliness continued after I left the hospital when the accumilated struggles I deal with prevented me from much interaction with people. It takes much concentration and energy to listen, understand, and reply to others.
